Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that shareholders Dennis A. Watson, Ronald J. Brown and Bethann R. Lloyd were recently appointed by Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald to three of the County's transition committees or Vision Teams.
Mr. Fitzgerald and his six-member steering committee set up 12 Vision Teams to study policy matters and look at long-term strategic changes to a variety of operations in the executive branch. "I am grateful for the time and energy that these team members have committed and look forward to receiving their final reports this summer," stated Mr. Fitzgerald.

Our co-founder and friend, Stephen W. Graffam, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. For over 50 years, Steve enjoyed a distinguished career as a trial attorney and was widely considered to be the region's foremost admiralty lawyer. We had the great fortune to know and work with a remarkable and compassionate human being. The Pittsburgh legal community has lost an accomplished and zealous advocate. The residents of western Pennsylvania who benefited from his tireless efforts on behalf of Allegheny College, the Heinz History Center, D.T. Watson Rehabilitation Hospital and countless other community organizations, both large and small, have lost a champion. We share in those losses. But for us at Grogan Graffam, we have also lost our co-founder, partner, colleague, mentor, and, most importantly, life-long friend.
