We have successfully defended numerous cases at trial in both the Federal Courts and the various Common Pleas Courts in all counties throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
We offer quality representation during litigation and also have developed long-term relationships with many physicians, hospitals and health care systems and other health care providers by offering ancillary services including tax and estate planning.
Additionally, our attorneys are involved in other areas of health care law, and have conducted seminars at health care facilities regarding current medical-legal issues. Representative Medical Negligence Cases
Defended numerous surgical cases, including podiatric issues, abdominal procedures, orthopedic procedures, as well as such complex neurosurgical procedures as spinal repair and cranial surgeries.
Represented health care providers for a variety of claims based upon failure to diagnose conditions and/or disease processes, including all forms of cancers, cardiac and cardio-thoracic issues, and obscure neurological conditions.
Defended various obstetrical and gynecological issues, including hysterectomy surgeries, tubal ligations and other sterilization procedures; breast surgeries; and, the serious adverse consequences of the prenatal period and labor and delivery difficulties that often result in damaged infants.
Represented health care providers in defending issues surrounding "Informed Consent", particularly as they relate to surgical procedures, but also as they relate to the developing law and issues for non-surgical procedures which may require such "Consent".
Defended numerous claims resulting from varied medical issues in the emergency and trauma setting, including failure to detect developing myocardial infarction, foreign object(s) removal, and inappropriate consult and/or diagnosis.
Represented various specialty health care providers unique to the hospital setting, including anesthesiologists, radiologists, pathologists and others whose efforts often result in litigation from a diagnostic standpoint.
Defended numerous claims arising from the psychiatric care and treatment of patients. Issues ranged from wrongful detention/hospitalization to suicidal ideation/attempt cases.
