John Bass has been a shareholder since 1994 and member of the Professional Liability practice group. He concentrates his practice in the area of medical malpractice and nursing home defense. John is an experienced trial attorney and has successfully defended hospitals, physicians and other health care providers on a variety of matters. He was recently elected to the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County.
John has also practiced extensively before the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Board of Directors of HOPE Network, an organization that provides education and athletic activites for handicapped youth and adults. He serves as co-chair of their non-profit group's Hoops Classic Basketball Tournament. John is also on the board of the Lee W. Bass, M.D. Community Pediatric Lecture Series Endowment, which supports programs on behalf of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
John was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2009 and 2010. Considered among the best in their profession, Super Lawyers represent the top 5% of the practicing attorneys in Pennsylvania.
