Vince Grogan is a founding shareholder of the firm and member of the Litigation, Professional Liability and Business Transactions practice groups. He has been a trial attorney for over 45 years and concentrates his practice in commercial litigation matters, real estate law, and professional liability defense. Over the years, Vince has successfully represented clients in a very wide range of matters.
He is a member of the prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers in Allegheny County, and was awarded it's Joseph F. Weis Jr. Distinguished Service Award in 2007. Vince has served with distinction as president of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association in 1997 and 1989, respectively. He has been general counsel for the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh since 1975.
Vince has an extensive community service record which includes serving as a Thornburg Borough council member, Chair of the Joint Planning Commission of Crafton, Rosslyn Farms and Thornburg Boroughs, and Trustee of Community College of Allegheny County Foundation. He also served as a member of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Advisory Committee on Appellate Court Rules for six years. Vince was appointed First Chair of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania's Continuing Legal Education program in 1992 and worked to make it one of the most successful programs overseeing the education of over 50,000 lawyers each year. In 2004, he was appointed a member of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission's Advisory Committee on Real Property Law.
Vince was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2005, 2006 and 2007 and was further recognized by his peers as one of the "Top 50 Lawyers" in Pittsburgh.
He has also been recognized as one of a distinguished group of attorneys who have been listed in Best Lawyers of America for over 25 years for Legal Malpractice Law and Real Estate Law.
