GROGAN RECEIVES TRIAL LAWYERS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

PITTSBURGH, PA, November 7, 2007 – Grogan Graffam, P.C. is pleased to announce that Vincent J. Grogan was recently awarded the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County’s Joseph F. Weis, Jr. Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding and exemplary service that enhanced the judicial system and legal profession. In addition, Mr. Grogan has been recognized as one of a distinguished group of attorneys who have been listed in Best Lawyers of America for 25 years for Legal Malpractice Law, Real Estate Law and Land Use and Zoning Law.

Mr. Grogan, a founding shareholder of the firm, has been a trial attorney for over 45 years and is widely known and respected in complex commercial litigation matters, real estate law and professional liability defense. Mr. Grogan served as President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1997 and as President of the Allegheny County Bar Association in 1989. He is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on Real Property Law. Mr. Grogan has served as General Counsel to the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh since 1975. He received his B.A. from Duquesne University in 1957 and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1960.

MACERELLI ASSUMES PDI LEADERSHIP POST

PITTSBURGH , PA, October 3, 2007 – Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that shareholder Joseph A. Macerelli was recently installed as the new President of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute (PDI).

Mr. Macerelli chairs the Professional Liability practice group and has been a member of the firm's Board of Directors since 1986. He is an experienced trial attorney who concentrates his practice in medical malpractice and other professional liability defense. Mr. Macerelli is Assistant Treasurer on the board of governors for the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and co-chair of the joint committee for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He is also Chairman of the Board of Canonsburg General Hospital and a director of West Penn Allegheny Health System. Mr. Macerelli received his B.A. from University of Pittsburgh in 1976 and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1981.

PITTSBURGH, PA, July 18, 2007--Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that Stephanie Clark Bessko recently joined the firm as a Senior Associate in the Professional Liability practice group.

Ms. Bessko is an experienced litigator and concentrates her practice in medical malpractice and other professional liability defense and commercial litigation. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.

Ms. Bessko received her B.A. from the University of Delaware in 1993 and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1996. Her volunteer activities include serving as a coach for the Pittsburgh (Ellis) Chapter of Girls on the Run.

WATSON APPOINTED TO STATE GOVERNMENT ADR ADVISORY COMMITTEE

PITTSBURGH, PA, February 21, 2007 – Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that Dennis A. Watson was recently appointed a member of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution. This committee will assist the Commission’s Legislative Task Force on Alternative Dispute Resolution in conducting a comprehensive review of the current status of ADR practices and making recommendations on improving conflict resolution in the Commonwealth.

Mr. Watson has been President of Grogan Graffam since 1998 and a shareholder since 1983. Prior to becoming President, he chaired the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. With 30 years of trial experience, he concentrates his practice in complex commercial, maritime, construction, insurance and product liability litigation.

He received his B.A. from Allegheny College in 1967 and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1973. Morgan A. Evans, the great-granddaughter of Harvey A. Miller, Sr., joins the firm as an associate. She concentrates her practice in estate planning, elder law, real estate and commercial litigation. Ms. Evans received her B.A., cum laude, from Dickinson College in 2000 and her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2003. She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations.

Harvey A. Miller, Jr. joins the firm Of Counsel. He has represented clients in estates and trusts, general business matters and litigation since joining the family firm in 1948. Mr. Miller has appeared on behalf of clients before the U.S. Supreme Court, and is a member of the American and Allegheny County Bar Associations. He is Trustee Emeritus of Grove City College after having served on its Executive Committee for over 40 years. Mr. Miller is also a former Trustee of St. Francis Hospital and Passavant Hospital. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Sanctis Foundation.

J. Lee Miller has more that 50 years of experience in real estate law, timber leasing, litigation and business organization and administration. He joins the firm Of Counsel after having been a partner at Miller & Miller since 1950. Mr. Miller is a 50-year member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and a 25-year member of the American Judicature Society. He also has represented clients before the U.S. Supreme Court and the courts of Pennsylvania.

COFFEY HONORED FOR OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY SERVICE

Coffey, an associate in the firm's Business Transactions practice group, was recently named a 2005 Community Volunteer Honoree by the United Jewish Federation in its thirteenth annual community-wide tribute. Mr. Coffey is chairman of the Keystone Mountain Region Commission B'nai B'rith Youth Organization.

Mr. Coffey concentrates his practice in the areas of property tax assessment appeals, business entity development, residential and commercial real estate development, closings and financing, and general business and real estate matters. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 1996 and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000.

FEENEY SELECTED FOR ACBA BAR LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

PITTSBURGH, PA, June 19, 2005 - Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that Michael K. Feeney was recently selected by the Allegheny County Bar Association to participate in the 2005/2006 Young Lawyers Bar Leadership Initiative (BLI).

The ACBA's Young Lawyers Division developed the Bar Leadership Initiative to aid and encourage young lawyers in developing their professional and community leadership skills, and position themselves to assume leadership positions within the Bar Association. Mr. Feeney was one of only 11 lawyers appointed to the BLI class which begins in July.

Mr. Feeney is an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice group and concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance coverage issues, appellate matters and general tort defense. He received his B.A. from Ohio Northern University in 1998 and his J.D from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2001.

Mr. Feeney is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is also on the board of directors of Bach Choir in Pittsburgh.

SENATOR COSTA RECEIVES LEGAL SERVICES AWARD

PITTSBURGH, PA, April 27, 2005 - Jay Costa, a Grogan Graffam, P.C. shareholder and Pennsylvania State Senator, recently received the 2005 Pennsylvania Legal Services Excellence Award. Pennsylvania Legal Services (PLS) is the statewide developer, coordinator and major funder for the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN) that provides legal advice and representation to low-income individuals in Pennsylvania. The Older and Wiser initiative, for which Senator Costa was particularly honored, is a public service partnership between legal services and legislators to sponsor free seminars to educate seniors and their families about legal issues of particular importance to elderly adults.

Senator Costa joined the firm's Business Transactions practice group in 1999. His areas of concentration include municipal law, government, education law, workers' compensation, trusts and estates, wills and general civil law. Senator Costa received his B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1979 and his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 1989. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, as well as the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Senator Costa is also a trustee of the University of Pittsburgh, Community College of Allegheny County and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, as well as a board member of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Senator Costa has represented Pennsylvania's 43rd Senatorial District since 1996. In January 2005, he was elected to serve as Caucus Chairman for the 2005-2006 legislative session. Prior to his election to the Senate, he served five years as Register of Wills in Allegheny County.

BASS NAMED TO HOPE NETWORK BOARD

PITTSBURGH, PA, March 11, 2005 - John A. Bass, a Grogan Graffam, P.C. shareholder since 1994 and a member of the firm's Professional Liability practice group, was recently named to the board of directors of HOPE Network. HOPE Network is a non-profit organization that promotes community integration of individuals with cognitive and/or physical challenges in Southwestern Pennsylvania through programs, services and leisure activities that support return to a healthy and productive lifestyle.

Mr. Bass is an experienced trial attorney who concentrates his practice in the area of medical malpractice. He has successfully defended hospitals, physicians and other health care providers on a variety of matters, and has practiced extensively before the appellate courts of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Bass received his B.A. from Emory University in 1984 and his J.D. from Duquesne University in 1988. He is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. Mr. Bass is also a member of the Western Pennsylvania Association of Healthcare Risk Management, The Children's Cancer Foundation, and The Lee W. Bass, M.D. Community Pediatric Lecture Series Endowment. He was recently named a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.

BROSKY NAMED "DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI" BY PITT LAW SCHOOL

PITTSBURGH, PA, October 11, 2004 - Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that John G. Brosky, retired Superior Court Judge and Of Counsel to the firm, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from University of Pittsburgh School of Law at its annual dinner on October 2nd. Judge Brosky, Class of '49, also received his undergraduate degree from Pitt.

Judge Brosky's distinguished judicial career spanned more than 46 years, beginning in 1956 when he was appointed to the Allegheny County Court. He served on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas beginning in 1960, serving as administrative judge of the Family Division from 1970 until he was elected to the Superior Court in 1980. He joined Grogan Graffam in 2003.

Judge Brosky is a World War II of the South Pacific Theater veteran and a retired U.S. Air Force General.

He is a fellow of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, Allegheny County Bar Foundation, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Alumni Association. Judge Brosky is also a member of the Family Law Section and Professionalism Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Appellate Practice Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

A past president of both the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges and national Air Force Association, Judge Brosky has received numerous awards for his service on the bench, his military service and his many volunteer efforts over the years.

He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the World War II Veterans of Allegheny County Memorial Fund.

MACERELLI NAMED TO PBA HEALTH CARE TASK FORCE

PITTSBURGH, PA, September 29, 2004 – Joseph A. Macerelli, a Grogan Graffam, P.C. shareholder and member of its Board of Directors since 1986, was recently appointed a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Health Care Task Force. The mission of the task force is to make recommendations to the Governor and the State Legislature on solving the health care crisis in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Macerelli is an experienced trial attorney and chairs the firm's Professional Liability practice group. Earlier this month, he presented a seminar on "Litigation Avoidance" at the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Trauma Symposium Conference sponsored by Allegheny General Hospital.

Mr. Macerelli received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1976 and his J.D. from Duquesne University in 1981. He is a Director of the West Penn Allegheny Health System and Chairman of the Board at Canonsburg General Hospital. Mr. Macerelli is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers in Allegheny County and is on the Academy's Board of Directors. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and is the Local Governor for the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Macerelli is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and Washington County Bar Associations, and co-chairs the Joint Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Pennsylvania Medical Society. He was recently named a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

WATSON RE-ELECTED TRUSTEE OF HISTORICAL SOCIETY

PITTSBURGH, PA, August 3, 2004 – Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that Dennis A. Watson was recently re-elected trustee of the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania for an additional three-year term. The Historical Society, which operates the John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center, is an educational institution dedicated to preserving and presenting regional history through a variety of programs. The History Center, located in the Strip District, has been affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution since 2000.

Mr. Watson has been President of Grogan Graffam since 1998 and a shareholder in the Litigation practice group since 1983. With over 25 years of trial experience, he concentrates his practice in the areas of product liability, environmental law, surety and fidelity, maritime, errors and omissions and commercial law.

Mr. Watson received his B.A. from the university of Pennsylvania in 1974 and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977. He is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, as well as the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.

PITTSBURGH, January 6, 2004 - Grogan Graffam, P. C. announced that Holly M. Whalen recently joined the firm as an Associate in its Litigation practice group.

Ms. Whalen concentrates her practice in insurance defense, commercial litigation, personal injury and employment litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial clerk for Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania Judge Dan Pellegrini.

Ms. Whalen received her B.S. from Allegheny College in 1996 and her J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law in 1999. While at Dickinson, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Fair Employment Law and served as Comments Editor for the Dickinson Journal of Environmental Law & Policy.

LEIDIGH JOINS GROGAN GRAFFAM

PITTSBURGH, October 14, 2003 - Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that Robert D. Leidigh recently joined the firm as a Senior Associate in its Environmental and Occupational Liability practice group.

Mr. Leidigh is an experienced trial attorney who concentrates his practice in the areas of toxic tort defense, negligence, property damage and insurance, including insurance coverage issues. Mr. Feeney's prior experience includes working as staff attorney to Chief Justice Stephen A. Zappala of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.


RETIRED SENIOR JUDGE BROSKY JOINS GROGAN GRAFFAM

PITTSBURGH, PA, January 15, 2003 - Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that retired Superior Court Judge John G. Brosky has joined the firm Of Counsel. Judge Brosky's distinguished judicial career spanned more than 46 years, beginning in 1956 when he was appointed to the Allegheny County Court. "Judge Brosky is a valuable addition to our firm," stated Grogan Graffam president Dennis A. Watson. "His wisdom and experience will benefit our attorneys and clients alike," Mr. Watson said.

Judge Brosky received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of public service degree by LaRoche College in 1996. He is a World War II of the South Pacific Theater veteran and is a retired Air Force general.

Judge Brosky is a fellow of both the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is a member of the Family Law Section and Professionalism Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Appellate Practice Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
