PITTSBURGH, PA, November 12, 2010 – Grogan Graffam, P.C. announced that shareholder Vincent J. Grogan recently received the prestigious Professionalism Award, which is awarded annually by the Civil Litigation Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Each year, the Civil Litigation Section Council solicits nominations from members of the bar of lawyers who have exhibited the intangible but recognizable qualities of professionalism throughout their careers. "The Council looks for true professionals who exhibit integrity, courtesy, fairness and service to the courts, their clients, other attorneys and the community at large, all in the context of vigorous representation of clients and causes", stated Dennis A. "Throughout his career, Vince Grogan has been an effective advocate for his clients and a worthy opponent for his adversaries, however, he has always found time to promote our responsibilities as professionals both in his day-to-day practice and as a leader of the bar", he said.
Mr. Grogan, one of the founding shareholders of the firm, has been a trial attorney for 50 years and is widely known and respected in civil and commercial litigation matters, real estate law and professional liability defense. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1997 and as President of the Allegheny County Bar Association in 1989.
Mr. Grogan has been recognized as one of a distinguished group of 1,400 preeminent lawyers throughout the United States who have been listed in Best Lawyers in America annually since its first publication in 1983. In addition, he has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer annually since 2005 and one of the "Top 50 Lawyers" in Pittsburgh.
